Outside School Hours Care

Valkstone Primary School OSHC (Out-of-School-Hours-Care) offers centre-based care for children enrolled at Valkstone Primary School both before and after school. Our purpose is to create a caring and safe environment where children can freely choose amongst programmed and free choice activities. Our Centre is a not-for-profit community-based centre operated by the Valkstone P.S. School Council. At Valkstone PS OSHC, we aim to provide a quality, fun program that allows your children to choose how their time is spent at OSHC. The program includes a variety of arts and crafts activities, baking, games and sport on a daily basis. Time is provided in the afternoon for children who wish to complete their homework.

Vacation Care

We provide Vacation Care programs during the school holiday periods, which caters for Valkstone Primary School students. Vacation Care is full of exciting activities, incursions and excursions that take place both in and out of the centre. Our program aims to keep your children entertained and happy during the holidays and ensures they are having lots of fun with their friends.

Curriculum Days

We provide full day care for pupil-free days held each year.

Our Team

Our team of educators at Valkstone PS OSHC are highly dedicated, enthusiastic and passionate about working with children, and the educators aim to create a fun, nurturing and safe environment for them. Each educator has or is working toward various qualifications in childcare/education.

Operating Hours and Fees

  • Before School Care: 7:00 – 8:45 a.m. Fee: $18.00 per session, less CCS
  • After School Care: 3:30 – 6:30 p.m. Fees: $25.00 per session, less CCS
  • Vacation Care: 7:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. Fee $70.00 per day plus incursion/excursion fee, less CCS
  • Curriculum Days: 7:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. Fee $70.00 per day plus incursion, less CCS

Enrolments & Bookings

All children must be enrolled into Valkstone PS OSHC to attend the service.

The service uses the Xplor Education app.
