I am Angela Dawson, honoured to serve as the 14th Principal of Valkstone Primary School. It is my privilege to lead this extraordinary institution of 706 students from 533 families, representing 38 diverse cultures. This rich tapestry of backgrounds makes Valkstone Primary a vibrant and exciting place to learn and grow.

At Valkstone Primary School, our vision is clear: “We are curious learners, preparing ourselves to thrive in tomorrow’s world.” This philosophy extends beyond our students to encompass our staff and families, creating a community-wide culture of lifelong learning.

Our dedicated staff is committed to delivering an evidence-based, best-practice approach to education. We take great pride in the high-quality learning experiences we provide and the outstanding achievements of our students and staff across various domains, including academics, sports and community engagement.

We prioritize creating safe, inclusive and supportive learning environments, placing a strong emphasis on student wellbeing. Our school offers a comprehensive range of wellbeing programs and support services to address the diverse needs of our students and families.

The connection between our school and its families is invaluable. We actively encourage parents and community members to participate in school life, offering numerous opportunities for engagement, both during and outside school hours, including excursions, classroom help, event planning, School Council and our popular ‘Working Bee’ program.
